PROFHILO® IN MANCHESTER

You will have a consultation with an aesthetic doctor to check it is safe for you to have Profhilo treatment. Your doctor will go through all the details you need to know before having this treatment such as how it works, any side effects and aftercare. Your aesthetic doctor will then safely carry out the treatment using a 10-point injection technique. Most individuals do not find it painful, so numbing cream is not routinely used – but it can be requested!

You can get this treatment at any age, as it is the ultimate preventative skin treatment. Everyone can benefit from the ‘Profhilo-glow’, but you will notice more of a difference in your skin if you have some skin laxity present.

They are very similar treatments. However, Profhilo allows a larger area (face or neck) to be treated with only a few injections whereas skinboosters are often used to target specific fine lines or areas. Profhilo also does more than hydrate and thicken the skin; it contributes to skin remodelling with new collagen and elastin formation.

Small pea-sized swellings are expected at the site of the Profhilo treatment, this typically resolves in the next few hours. There is a small chance of bruising because we are using a needle, this may last a few days following treatment.

Results are usually seen from the first week and will continue up to 8 weeks as your skin collagen is stimulated. Profhilo results last on average 6-12 months and most have a yearly maintenance session following their first course.

To get the best results a course of 2 Profhilo treatments are recommended, four weeks apart from each other. Following this 1-2 maintenance sessions may be needed every year.
