causes

Localised symmetrical hyperhidrosis (primary hyperhidrosis): This is the most common type of excessive sweating. Symptoms are concentrated to certain body sites (localised) and affect both sides equally (symmetrical). The palms, soles of the feet, underarms, scalp, face or a combination of these areas can be affected by excessive sweating. The cause is not known, however, it usually begins in childhood or young adulthood.

Generalised hyperhidrosis (secondary hyperhidrosis): This is affecting the whole body and can be caused by illness (infections), hormonal conditions (diabetes, overactive thyroid, menopause), medications (antidepressants). Sometimes no cause is apparent for secondary hyperhidrosis.

Anxiety: This can trigger or worsen hyperhidrosis, but does not mean that the affected individual is unusually anxious or stressed.

treatments

At Javivo, we can help sufferers of hyperhidrosis by treating the condition with injectable treatment.

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables: A protein can be injected into the skin dermis to reduce the action of the sweat glands in the skin.
